Brief History
Impact High School , Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria , a Private Co-educational (Day/Boarder) institutions was established on the 19th September, 2011 in an easily accessible and serene environment within the Government Reservation Area (GRA), Alagbaka , Akure . The motto of the school is “Solid Foundation, Proven Excellence, and Total Impact”. This history will be incomplete without a link with the Nursery/Primary arms of the institutions which came on board with a view to “change the land scape of education system of Ondo State” as attested to by Her Excellency, Mrs. Olukemi Mimiko, wife of the Executive Governor of Ondo State, during her visit to the school, in December, 2009.
Strive for Excellence
As the name implies, the school kept receiving awards of excellent performance since her establishment on academics and social activities in Ondo State and at the national level. To uphold the qualitative teaching and learning which the school had been noted for, expansion became imperative vis-à-vis the resounding recognition and acceptability that the school received from the year of our establishment.
Expansion
This commendable motive made the Executive Director /Proprietress of the School, Chief (Mrs.) M.O. Ade-Unuigbe to strive harder towards acquiring more space for the expectation of the school. To meet the quest for expansion, the Nursery/Primary arms of the school were officially launched on the 13th of January, 2007. The celebration of the retirement of the Chairman, Governing Board of the school, who is also the Indifatiquable husband of the Executive Director/Proprietress, Engr. (Chief) Charles Ade-Unuigbe came up the same day, having serve this nation meritoriously for 35 years of good track records and voluntarily retired as the Director of Federal Highways in the Federal Ministry of works. The double celebration attracted dignitaries from far and near including the Imperial Majesty, Oba Okunade Sijuade Olubuse II, the Oni of Ife.
The proceed realized from the event and the resources for the Executive Director’s personal source, the management was able to acquire the property next to the Nursery/Primary arms of the school, upon which Impact High School (IHS), is now located. Impact High School was dedicated to the mankind on Sunday 18th September, 2011 prior to the official opening for operation on Monday 19th September, 2011. The principal is ably assisted by a Vice principal, twelve (12) academic staff who are all graduate with professional qualifications, ten (10) non-teaching staff out of which four (4) are graduates, two (2) HND holders, four (4) with ordinary school certificates (junior staff), including one (1) driver and three (3) Cleaners. With these numbers of pioneer staff, one can proudly say that the management is generous with staffing.

The school took off with nine (9) Students, four boarders and five (5) day students. There is a standby 50 KVA generator to serve both the Nursery /Primary and high school, anytime there is power outage in the premises. The High School, (edifice) building contains: a big hall, reception, dining hall, ten classrooms, science laboratory, library, chairman’s office, Director of studies’ office , principal’s office, Vice principal’s office, Accessory room, health bay, computer suites, ICT instructor’s offices, Bursar’s office, staff rooms and internet/inter.com. control rooms while the security post is seprated from the main building. The dormitory is a seprate well equipped story building located at the back of the edifice.
